Penal fee for overloaded vehicles on highways streamlined
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has amended national highways fee rules to rationalise the collection of extra fee from overloaded vehicles on national highways.
Delhi EV policy draft gets mixed reactions from industry
The draft Delhi Electric Vehicle (EV) policy should extend across the National Capital Region (NCR) as limiting benefits to Delhi alone will create distortions, because vehicles are purchased and operated across Gurugram, Faridabad, and the broader NCR, said Anjali Rattan, Chairperson, RattanIndia Enterprises.
Indian automobile sales record highest-ever sales in FY26, first time after FY19: SIAM
New Delhi: The Indian automobile wholesales (dispatches to dealers) have grown by double digits in all four major segments – passenger vehicle (PVs), two-wheelers (2Ws), three-wheelers (3Ws) and commercial vehicles (CVs), with total sales of 2,82,65,519 units in financial year 2025-26 (FY26).

New Delhi: Automobile wholesales in India posted a record at 2,82,65,519 units in FY26, up 10.4 per cent year-on-year with all segments -- passenger and commercial vehicles, two and three-wheelers - recording the highest-ever sales in a fiscal, with GST 2.0 proving to be a key growth driver, SIAM said on Tuesday.
